About "Independent Baptist Churches"

Independent Baptist Churches are just that-- "Independent" of any governing body or umbrella organization.  We believe that is the New Testament way, for each church to be under the authority of God, the Scriptures, and the local Pastor, who is accountable to God, the Scriptures, and the local congregation. 

Independent Baptists vary from one another.  Some are "ultra conservative", and paint themselves into a corner of non-relevance to the world today.  Others are so progressive that they leave behind the focus and conservative distinctives that Grace Baptist Church strives to maintain.  We desire to progress with the times in terms of our methods,  but our message remains the same.

First and foremost, we are Christians, maintaining the historic faith of the early Church under the teachings of Christ and His holy Word.
