September 2004
Dear Prayer Partners,
Sorry that this prayer letter is long in coming. We thought that one had
been sent out awhile back, when we were having trouble with our computer.
There was some mix up and it never got out, and we just realized that. We
have seen several saved and baptized these past few months, but not as many
as we would like to see. Pray that more of our people will be zealous about
soul winning.
Our church family just suffered a big shock. One of our faithful members, a
Sunday School teacher and wife of the church treasurer, passed away last
week. She suddenly became sick with a form of hepatitis, which attacked the
liver, and within 40 days she was with the Lord. She leaves behind a
husband, a teenage son and an 8 -year-old daughter. Pray for her
husband, Geraldo and family.
We finished another successful semester in the Bible Institute where I
taught Counseling, Bible Geography and Customs, and Doctrines. This coming
semester I will be teaching The Life of Christ and Contemporary Theology.
I have also been busy preaching in different conferences and camps. At most
of the preaching opportunities I have had the privilege of speaking on the
family. I have also been able to do some Gospel Magic, a new ministry for
me- about five presentations. It has been well received, and several have
expressed that the gospel truth presented was a real help to them.
We also had the privilege of having my mother-in-law and sister-in-law and
her husband visit with us for three weeks. It was not only fun but a real
blessing to have them here. They had a great time! In just a week we will
also have a visit form our daughter Debbie.
God has been good to us. Thank you for praying for our ministry here in
Brazil. Pray that we will see more people save and edified for His honor and
glory.
In His Service,
Dan & Gerri Johnson
