YOUR FUNDAMENTAL BAPTIST MISSIONARIES TO URUGUAY

Walter & Peggy Silva

April 2005

Dear Faithful Co-workers:

Our Savior and Lord has given you and us the privilege of reaching this world with the Gospel! What an inspiration and example the Apostle Paul has been and still is in our lives. God help us never to miss our goal or God’s purpose for our lives.
“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the Gospel of the grace of God.” Acts20:24

SOULS REACHED

It is with great pleasure that we are able to report that 107 precious souls have made profession of faith. Praise our Lord for every child, youth, adult, and elderly person that our Lord has given you and us the privilege of reaching.

COLON-LEZICA COMMUNITIES
Led by: Alvaro and Patricia Silvera

Pray for those two communities, where we were able to establish a mission. We are working as always, with the hope and purpose of some day establishing a church. Pray for the workers so our Lord will use them to accomplish great things for the good of lost souls and God’s glory.

GRUTA DE LOURDES
Led by: Jesus Garcia, Andres, and Irene

What a joy it is to inform you that our Lord is answering your prayers. Slowly, but surely, this mission is growing. Children, young people, and adults are being saved. Praise our Lord!

EMAILS and 2006 FURLOUGH

map of UruguayIt is our sincere desire and our hope to plan a furlough. We will start reporting to you sometime near the end of 2006. We will get our computer set up and provide you with our e-mail address in the near future. We are asking if you could please send us your e-mail address as soon as possible, so we can start working on the itinerary. We would like to arrange a date to visit you. Thank you so much.

WALTER’S HEALTH

The procedure that the doctors performed on June 15, 2003 – thirty-eight laser channels and five bypasses – is working just fine. I have been having some trouble, caused by some problems in an area of the heart, which was not treated before. As a result, a stent was placed in one of the arteries and two more will be placed in other arteries. I will be able to return to normal activities in a few days. Thank you for your concern.

CORRESPONDENCE

Dear brethren, we have not received any correspondence for the past five months that might have been sent directly to the mission field address. Please send all correspondence in c/o C.M.C. in Houston, so you can be sure that we will get it. We are worried that your mail may not be reaching us. We feel very sorry for this.

Words cannot express how grateful we are for your important and fundamental support. Without it, it would be impossible to carry on the missionary work in Uruguay. We need your help. If there is anything else you can do to help us accomplish each goal before it is too late, please do.

Thanks you so much! May our Lord richly bless you, rewarding your love and sacrifice.
