The city was in ruins. They had a wall to prevent invasion, but inside is rubble, and they are supposed to live and worship there.

They had a tool in one hand and a sword in the other. They had to multitask and keep one eye on the work and the other eye on the enemy.

11/17/10 - "What To Do With Your Burdens" Galatians 6:2-5
Some burdens are meant to be SHARED, some burdens are meant to be SHOULDERED, and some burdens are meant to be SHED.

The world is being conditioned to believe that if ever a multitude of people vanish from the earth it is because they were holding back its evolution and aliens did the removing.

To walk in the Spirit you have to be willing to go out on a limb ... but good news: that's where the fruit is!

The wall is finished, but the real work has just begun. It's not about the wall, it's about the Word and the Worship that will be shared within the walls.

Don't miss the boat! Saved by faith and living by law perpetrates falling from grace; saved by faith and walking in the Spirit produces the fruit of the Spirit.

The devil is the sinister minister of fear. It's the opposite of faith, which is what pleases God. Fear Degrades our Lord, Destroys our Lives, and Delights our Enemy.

A study of this Hellish Holiday and its pagan roots leads to even better Biblical reasons not to participate, but rather to offer good Christian alternatives.

Nehemiah saw right thru the devil's attempt at distraction and compromise. He said, the valley of Ono? O No! Aren't you glad he said no no to Ono?

The devil resorts to slander because he is at his worst when he realizes time is about to run out-he must know the signs of the times, and that Jesus could return at any moment.

We are adopted, made to be heirs, and given full grown status positionally in Christ. No wonder we feel this great term of endearment and cry, "Abba, Father!"

God threw His Son into the waters of sin to save us from drowning. Now, what can He do for us who are drowning in debt and financial bondage? Here's the steps to freedom!

Like the law of gravity, God's law was instituted to 'bring you down,' and reveal your lost condition so Jesus could swoop in and save you!

We need an expanded program. We have to pay an expected price. There’s an explicit promise. It's for an exalted purpose. How to see God's explosive power!

PM - "More Than Others" - 3 Types of Christians: The SPECTATOR is just there to observe; the ANTICIPATOR is expecting real blessings but not doing anything; the PARTICIPATOR is busy doing the work. Jesus said in our text to do more than others.

God's promise to believing Abraham was made long before the Law came around. Are you a child of Father Abraham by faith in the Lamb, God's substitute sacrifice?

When reason fails, some turn to ridicule. They choose laughter over logic. Should the Christian respond? If so, how?

We’ve returned to the 9/10 mentality, but God wants us to go back to 9/12 and how we woke up different that day.

Worn out - Weighted down - Wasting away. This describes many Christians today. But Nehemiah shows how to keep battling and building for the cause!

Which is more important - doctrine, or experience? The WORD is our authority, but shouldn't our experience corroborate the truth?

Every religion of this world instructs us to do something. Christianity is different. It tells us that we are justified by faith in an accomplished act. Every other religion says do. Christianity says done.

Many people skip over this chapter because it reads like a Hebrew phone book. But it is a very important chapter full of principles of leadership and delegation.

A contrast of Jerusalem and Antioch, Peter and Paul, and law and grace -- How God bridged the gap and sent the good news around the world!

It is what causes leaders to rise to the top of the bucket like cream. It is what separates leaders from followers, and separates mediocre leaders from great ones.

Paul trained in the desert of Arabia. It was a long night in his life. He now tells about those Arabian Nights and how they helped make him who he is.

Nehemiah was by far one of the best leaders in all of history. And anyone who is willing to follow the principles put forth in this book can also become a great leader.

Nehemiah was a great leader. Everyone else saw obstacles and he saw opportunities. Where many saw problems he saw potential.

Paul starts off cool, and then heats up quickly. He cuts to the chase calmly and directly and doesn't mince words. SALVATION IS NOT OF WORKS!

It is one of the most successful building projects ever. How did it go from vision to fruition in 52 days? And how will these same principles help us build a church, or a good home, or a business?

Paul's third and final journey to Corinth is what did the trick. EXAMINE YOURSELVES! If Jesus asked you, "Why should I let you into heaven?" how would you respond?

Continuation shows how Nehemiah rebuilt the walls thanks in part to his prayer of contrition, concern, confession, confidence, and commitment.

Moses became the kind of man he was because of the type of mothers he had. And they were both good mothers because they both had some of the same instincts for their roles.

We could call this message, "Proof of Love", because that's what our giving is. It is one of many proofs that we love God.

7 Things Great Churches Possess - God is doing great things! But there is greater still to come…revival is in progress, but it needs to continue and grow…mercy drops need to give way to showers of blessing!

The hoop of history is a picture of human nature, the sin nature, and how sinful man's history repeats itself. Israel's history is America's present!

We may age and get old on the outside, but we can grow ever younger and more alive on the inside...if we are IN CHRIST!

We want to be a church with a heart - which has a heart for HUMANS, a heart for HELPING, and a heart for HEAVEN.

A statesman makes decisions based on what's best for the next generation...a politician makes decisions based on what's best for the next election. Jephthah had character in the face of difficulty, and courage in the face of danger.

I'm going to have a glorified body [house] someday that will make a mansion look like a shack, and my God has already paid for it in full!

How to make your family a Fortress and not a Facade. The 5 "C’s" of Marriage and Family: Commitment, Communion, Communication, Coping Skills, and Consecration.

Corrupt Leadership: America in her prosperity has been given much but done so little with it...and now it appears God may be taking the prosperity away.

There was hand-to-hand combat in the corners, but Paul still could turn to God. When you can't look this way or that you can always look up!

God says we need to LEARN to LAUGH, CULTIVATE CONTENTMENT, ALLEVIATE ANGER, and WALK in WISDOM.

Here is the first parable in the Bible, and it is about America in these last days just as it was about Israel in those days. 3 steps in the decline of a nation.

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not...

The man in our text fell...he fell among thieves. The Good Samaritan fell...he fell in love for the man and had mercy and compassion toward him. And it's ok to fall in love.

By the end of the world the gospel will go out to all people groups. The gospel has not been preached to every tribe yet, though we are getting very close, and our church will reach out to one of them this week.

The Bible teaches that spiritual government (Church) and political government (State) are two separate institutions, but they are to function in ways that are complimentary to each other.

I think you can tell when someone has been with Jesus…the proof is in the pudding, and you can see it all over their face! 'O taste and see that the Lord is good!'
