But God commendeth (proves) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. ~Romans 5:8
Why did Jesus come to die? Remember, the payment of sin is death. And this is the punishment that we deserve because of our sin. But Jesus died in our place to pay for our sin.
THEREFORE, God has given us another option: eternal life through His Son. Everyone has a choice: Life or death.
